Irrigation Management CALCULATORS

Irrigation Management Calculators can help the user to calculate Water Depth, Water Application Rate, Irrigation Frequency, and time of irrigating.

All these calculators are so important, it help the operator man and the irrigation designer to calculate accurately all the factors of one irrigation project.

Dripline water application rate

Use this formula to calculate water application rate in a drip irrigation system with the condition that the distance between emitters/drippers is equal and the flow rate of all emitter is constant.

In case the distance between lateral of driplines is larger than the wetted width, take the “Distance between driplines” equal to the wetted width.

Sprinkler Application Rate

In case you determine the flow rate of each sprinkler, and the flow rate between nozzles is equal, you can use the formula in the left column (Dripline water application rate) to calculate.
In this formula, we base on the hypothesis of nozzle size and given pressure to calculate the nozzle flow rate and Effective application rate.

Calculate Water Application Rate

Easily determine water application rate using flow rate onto an area during a time of irrigating. Accurate and efficient irrigation calculation for optimal results

Irrigation Frequency

The formula will calculate the maximum allowable time interval between two irrigations, also known as the irrigation frequency. Irrigation frequency depends on factors such as soil type, water penetration requirements (depending on the depth of the root zone), water evaporation rate…

Set times of irrigating

This formula will determine how long each irrigation should take to ensure enough water for the plants. Irrigation time depends on factors such as water depth requirements, water penetration efficiency into the soil, irrigation area, and irrigation water flow.

Pipeline pressure loss calculator

Used to calculate the velocity of water in a pipe. Bigger pipe is more expensive, but keeping the water velocity low is important to limit pressure losses due to friction, water hammer, and pipe movement due to water momentum changes inside the pipe.
