Note: parameters recorded on the pump such as flow and pressure are usually the max index; Meanwhile, we need to determine the pump’s operating point (not flow or max pressure). In addition, a safety factor needs to be calculated because the pump may not reach its maximum operating point.

Water pressure on a pipe is understood as a force exerted by a unit of water flowing in the pipe on the inner surface of the pipe wall.
Loss of pressure on the pipe is understood as during the process of conveying water in the pipe, part of the pressure will be lost. This pressure loss is mainly due to the friction between the water volume and the pipe wall.
